Nik Johnson joined the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships in 2017. He received his Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Evangel University. Nik received his PLPC license in Missouri in July 2016, and his LPC-Intern license in Texas in 2017. Nik has previous experience working in a private practice in Springfield, Missouri working with a wide variety of clients, as well as experience working with clients in a hospital setting, at a women’s shelter, and in group home settings.
Nik believes in building strong relationships with his clients by providing a safe and trusting environment. He looks at the whole person including: relationships, thought patterns, physical health, and spirituality. He uses tools to help clients experience growth to meet their individual goals.
Nik specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma and working with individuals who have experienced traumatic brain injuries. He also works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples with issues regarding: ADHD, anxiety, autism, couples/marital issues, depression, grief/loss, PTSD/trauma, self-esteem, and spirituality.
