Chad Scoggins joined the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships in January 2021. He attended Dallas Baptist University for his Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling. Chad became a License Professional Counselor Associate in 2019. He is also in the middle of Basic training for EMDR, and he is a Certified Prepare Enrich Facilitator. He has previous experience working in a non-profit counseling practice in Grapevine, Texas where he worked with a wide variety of clients ages 12 and up.
Chad believes that as a therapist, he acts as a facilitator, instructor, and guide. As a facilitator, he provides people with an environment that is safe, relational, non-biased, and produces growth. He knows people are already equipped with the tools they need in any situation and that, as an instructor, his role is to teach his clients how to use their equipment the way it was designed to be used; as a guide, he walks alongside those who are hurting and in need in the direction of mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
