Lyndsey Cryer joined the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships in 2018.  She earned her Master’s of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas in 2009.  Lyndsey received her license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2011 and became a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) in 2017.   She previously worked as a school-based therapist in Arkansas and Oklahoma, spending her last year and a half in Oklahoma as an internship program coordinator and supervisor with Master’s level counselors completing their education. Lyndsey also led parenting classes within her school-based counseling practice to help empower the parents of her clients and to maximize the positive impact in the lives of their children and their family. Prior to becoming a counselor, she worked at a children’s home where she was a case manager for children in foster care.

Lyndsey believes that the relationship between a client and a therapist is essential to creating a safe environment for children and adults. She meets each client’s individual needs and experiences to join with them in reaching their counseling goals.

Lyndsey specializes in play therapy with children and in equipping the parents of these children with tools. She also works with children, adolescents, adults and families with issues regarding: ADHD, anger management, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, parenting skills, PTSD/Trauma, and self-esteem.
