Yvette Garcia

My path to becoming a therapist began through my own experience of walking through a difficult life event that deeply impacted me. During that time, I connected with a mentor who helped me process what I had been through and supported me as I found my footing again. Experiencing the healing power of being seen, heard, and supported left a lasting impression on me and inspired me to help others navigate difficult seasons in their own lives.

I believe people are doing the best they can with the tools and support available to them. My role as a therapist is to create a safe, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and develop the skills and insight needed to move toward the life you want. I strive to provide an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself without fear of judgment.

My Counseling Approach

My approach is person-centered and integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems concepts, and trauma-informed care. I enjoy helping individuals and families navigate anxiety, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, life transitions, and the impact of difficult experiences. While I value helping clients gain insight into their experiences and patterns, I also believe in providing practical tools and strategies that can be applied in everyday life.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in several different fields, including customer service, apartment management, and the corporate world. Each role taught me something different about people, and those experiences continue to shape the way I connect with clients from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.

Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young children. This season of life is filled with family adventures, good books, audiobooks, and coffee whenever I can find a quiet moment. My hope is that therapy feels like a place where you can show up authentically and feel accepted exactly where you are. I want you to leave our time together feeling less alone, more connected to yourself and others, and equipped with tools that support lasting growth and healing.
