ANGELICA  RICHARD

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Angelica!

You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Whether you’re a child learning to manage big emotions, a teen finding your way, a young adult facing life transitions, or an adult working through trauma, infertility, or grief, I’m here to support you.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy painting, drawing, live music, anime, and all things superheroes! I find peace in nature and yoga, and I volunteer with a few organizations working with youth as a spiritual mentor. While my husband is the true sports fanatic working with athletes, I fully embrace my role as a dedicated bandwagon fan—especially when it comes to LSU. Geaux Tigers!

My Counseling Approach

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. My approach is relational, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.

I work with children (6+), teens, young adults, and adults, with a special passion for helping teens and young adults navigate relationships, transitions, and self-discovery. I integrate EMDR for trauma, expressive arts for creativity, and mindfulness for emotional regulation, always focusing on what best supports your healing.

I also love working with foster and adoptive families, as my husband and I are navigating the adoption process ourselves.

Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and grow—whether that means working through trauma, discerning life’s next steps, or sorting out faith values.

Let’s create a path toward healing, self-discovery, and growth together.

I have extensive experience with grief and loss, including both death-related and disenfranchised grief—the kind that isn’t always recognized by others. As someone personally connected to eating disorder recovery, I’m passionate about walking alongside those in treatment and using an interdisciplinary approach for holistic care.
