Hi! My name is Heidi Hiett, and I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I work with children, families, adults, and couples.
I am a former educator transitioning my passion from serving over 20 years in the schools to more intimate work in counseling. Raised in military family, I moved frequently and developed a deep heart for those navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions and trauma.
Answering a call to serve in a new way, I added to my Master’s in Education with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University.
As a Christian therapist, my faith undergirds all I do. I strive to model the example set by Jesus, the perfect counselor, who adeptly integrated faith and still respected each person’s beliefs and values. I strive to build trusting relationships with people from all walks of life, regardless of race, religion, or past life events. The journey through life can be rocky, and I believe God created us for relationships with one another so that we can navigate this world together. It is my desire to walk alongside others and serve as a holder of hope for those who need it.
Away from the clinic, you can find me traveling, reading, being out in nature, spending time with my family or serving in my church.

BCBS, Cigna/Evernorth,

My counseling approach centers on listening and building trusting relationships where individuals feel seen and heard. I believe every person has a unique story. I approach my work with openness, respect, and compassion, recognizing, from a systemic perspective, how emotions, beliefs, and actions dually impact the individual and those around them.
Clients can expect our sessions to be tailored to their needs. Together we’ll identify goals, explore issues, and develop strategies to work towards healing. When working with clients, I may use play therapy, sand tray, art, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Attachment Theory, Family Systems, Gottman Therapy and Prepare/Enrich techniques. I also draw from focused therapies including Trauma Focused CBT, Brainspotting and EMDR.
It takes courage to seek out counseling. It is ok to not be ok. You don’t have to be alone on this journey. Together we can build a safe space to help navigate life in a healthier way.
