My path to counseling began while studying Child Development at TCU, where I was introduced to Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and became passionate about trauma healing. Early in my career, I worked as a foster care case manager and found myself wanting to meet children and parents with care that felt safe, approachable, and rooted in connection. That experience led me to pursue counseling so I could support individuals and families in a deeper way during some of life’s most challenging seasons.
I believe everyone has the capacity for healing, and I place a strong emphasis on the importance of nurturing connection and healthy attachment. Each person comes to counseling with their own story, and I partner with you to identify what approach may be most helpful for you or your child. Whether you are seeking EMDR, play therapy, or traditional talk therapy, I tailor sessions to fit your unique needs and goals. My hope is that counseling feels collaborative and responsive to what will best support your growth.

My counseling style is empathetic, trauma-informed, and individualized to each client. I strive to maintain a strengths-based perspective and work to build healthy connection throughout the counseling process. I aim to provide a comfortable, safe place where you can share openly as the expert in your own experience while receiving compassionate care and support. When working with children, I also value involving caregivers in the process so families feel informed, equipped, and supported along the way.
Throughout my social work career, I have had the opportunity to work with foster and adoptive families, children who have survived abuse, individuals affected by domestic violence, and asylum seekers. Each experience has shaped my practice and reinforced my belief that healing happens in the context of safe relationships and supportive communities. I have seen the resilience people carry even in difficult circumstances, and I consider it a privilege when clients allow me to be part of their journey.
I am originally from North Carolina, but moved to Texas to attend college and quickly fell in love with the DFW area and the community I found here. Outside of counseling, I enjoy exercising, walking local trails, learning new crafts, listening to audiobooks, and spending quality time with friends. It takes courage to take steps toward healing, and I am honored to walk alongside clients in that process. My hope is that you feel valued, seen, and known in a way that supports lasting growth and meaningful change.
