Rebecka (Becka) joined the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships in 2022. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Dallas in 2004 and her Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2010. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2013. Becka’s previous experience includes work at an inclusive preschool serving children with autism ages 18 months to 5 years. She provided one on one, group, classroom support, and eventually served as the Director of the preschool, working closely with parents. Becka also worked for the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center. While there, she provided individual counseling, family counseling, and anger management groups with adolescents. At the Assessment Treatment Research Services (ATRS) department with Dallas County Adult Probation, Becka worked with adults diagnosed with substance use and mental health disorders.
Becka has been honored in her career to see the real change and impact a therapeutic relationship can have on a person. Whether working with families, children, adolescents or adults, the experience of having an individual listen attentively and without judgment is a powerful one that assists clients with learning, healing, and becoming the best version of themselves they can be. While she has experience working with all ages, Becka is passionate about working with children.
