Thinking of a Virtual Session…

Have an hour for lunch? We’re available then.

Live in another city or in a rural area? No problem.

Wake up sick or with a flat tire today? We’ve got your back.

Traveling to another Texas city for work next week? No worries.

Your Questions Answered

How does virtual counseling differ from in-person sessions?

Whether using insurance or if you are paying for sessions on your own, you can get the same high-quality, personal treatment online as you can in person without an additional cost for virtual counseling.

Wanting the option of in-person or virtual for any session?

Our counselors work almost entirely out of our north Fort Worth office space, so we’ll be there even if you can’t.

Do I have to be in Texas to have a virtual session?

Yes. Our counselors are licensed to practice in the entire state of Texas, but not beyond state boundaries.

Can I participate in virtual counseling from any location?

You can participate in virtual counseling from any location where you are by yourself without anyone else in the room

Can I be driving during my counseling session?

We want you to be safe and don’t provide sessions while in a moving vehicle you are driving.

How do you offer virtual counseling?

We offer virtual counseling through Doxy software.

Where do I find the link to meet with my counselor virtually?

The virtual link can be found on our staff page under the picture of your counselor.

How long can I expect the online counseling process to take?

Just like with in-person sessions, this can vary from client to client. You and your counselor can make this decision together.

Are virtual sessions ever not a good idea?

You and your counselor will consider age, accessibility, severity of symptoms, and progress with virtual sessions as appointments are scheduled.

How can I get started with virtual counseling?

You can contact us anytime to schedule a virtual session or become an online client with any of our staff– they can all meet you in person or virtually. Virtual appointments can be scheduled during any of our regular hours, including evenings and Saturdays.

The CCFAM Virtual Therapy Process

  • Session 1: Intake

This initial meeting is to discuss your background, current concerns, and specific needs. Together, we will explore how these challenges may be affecting your daily life and begin identifying areas of focus.

  • Sessions 2&3: Goal Setting

This session is a time to collaborate on a counseling plan and explore available resources.

  • Ongoing sessions: Continuing the Journey Together

Together, we’ll collaborate to determine the most supportive approach based on your unique needs.

Length of Virtual Counseling Process

The counseling process is unique for everyone. Meaningful change typically begins to emerge within 10–14 sessions. To help you reach meaningful change within 10–14 sessions, we recommend starting with weekly appointments.

Some clients may respond more quickly, while others may benefit from a longer course of counseling, depending on factors such as appointment frequency, your temperament, ongoing stressors, and your implementation of strategies for growth.

Additionally, we maintain partnerships with churches that rely on us to provide guidance rooted in biblical wisdom for their members.
