We are here to help

We’re in-network with most major insurance companies and also offer lower self-pay fees through select staff.

Play is a child’s first language—their natural way of expressing their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Through play therapy at CCFAM, we meet your child where they are, using play as the gateway to connection, healing, and growth.

In the busyness of your daily life, it’s easy to feel caught between the demands of family, work, and managing your household.

You may not know where to begin in helping your child or perhaps you’ve tried everything you know, but nothing seems to be working.
That’s where CCFAM comes in. We partner with you to find solutions for your child, support you as a parent, and help your family move toward the future you envision.

Your child may be experiencing…

…difficulty making or maintaining friendships

…conflict with parents, peers, or teachers

…big emotional outbursts leading to big behaviors

…fear and anxiety in new situations or around unfamiliar people

…unexpected life transitions including a move, parental separation, or shifting peer groups

…grief after the loss of a family member, birth parent, friend, or pet

…uncertainty due to a health diagnosis

…challenges with attention, impulsivity, or learning disabilities

…impact of abuse or trauma by someone trusted by the family

No matter what struggle your child is experiencing, you and your child don’t have to go through it alone.

At CCFAM, we understand the struggles that childhood brings, and we are here to help.

Your child can develop social skills to build positive peer relationships

Your child can learn how to express big emotions and make different choices moving forward.

Your child can experience anxiety as a natural response, and learn who to trust and ways and strategies to feel safe.

Your child can go through life transitions and utilize their strengths during them.

Your child can heal from heartache and loss leaning on a community of support.

Your child can live with a significant health concern but still have hope for the future.

Your child can struggle in school but still learn how their gifts and strengths are unique to them.

Your child can experience abuse or trauma yet find healing knowing they are loved and surrounded by support.

The CCFAM Play Therapy Process

Session 1: Parent-Intake and Goal Setting

This initial meeting is with you as the parent to discuss your child’s background, current concerns, and specific needs. Together, we will explore how these challenges may be affecting your child’s daily life and begin identifying areas of focus

Sessions 2&3: Individual Play Therapy with Your Child

These sessions are one-on-one with your child, allowing the play therapist to begin building rapport and gaining insight through observation, play, or conversation, depending on the child’s age or needs.

Session 4: Parent Collaboration and Support

This parent-only session is a time to collaborate on a counseling plan, explore available resources, and provide you with guidance on helpful strategies you can implement at home to support your child’s progress.

Ongoing sessions: Continuing the Journey Together

Play therapy will continue to focus on your goals for your child. Parent meetings will be scheduled as needed, either by the play therapist or at your request, to ensure consistent support and communication through the process.

Length of Play Therapy

While every child is different, meaningful change in play therapy typically begins to emerge within 10–14 sessions. To help your child reach meaningful change within 10–14 sessions, we recommend starting with weekly appointments.

Some children may respond more quickly, while others may benefit from a longer course of therapy depending on factors such as frequency of appointments, their individual temperament, ongoing stressors, and implementation steps towards progress.

Before the first appointment, parents complete a checklist to help identify key concerns. This tool is used throughout the therapy process to track progress and guide treatment goals.
